EndorsementPosted: February 16, 2012
We’ve bought a few baby books, and I’ve read parts of at least all of them, but this is the first one I’ve read all the way through. The book is It Sucked and Then I Cried by Heather Armstrong (who blogs at www.dooce.com). Candid is an apt way to describe Ms. Armstrong’s memoir, but I always, always appreciate honesty, even when it’s colorful and often in ALL CAPS FOR OFTEN NECESSARY EMPHASIS.
Every woman’s pregnancy experience is different, but I’ve learned the best advice a pregnant woman can receive is that other women have been pregnant and had and have children and survived it. Reading this book was an entertaining to receive this advice. And hearing the amount of Doritos Ms. Armstrong ate makes me feel a little less guilty about my craving indulgences.
The blue bump is mine.
